MRI Scans in Collierville, TN

OrthoOne Sports Medicine is pleased to announce that we now offer magnetic resonance imaging at our Collierville location for the diagnosis of orthopedic problems and sports- and work-related injuries.

MRI is a noninvasive and painless procedure that uses a strong magnetic field, radio waves, and a computer to create detailed, cross-sectional images of the organs and tissues within your body. It enables doctors to pinpoint the source of your pain – including injuries or abnormalities of the joints, such as your back, shoulder, elbow, hip or knee – and prescribe appropriate treatment.

One of the concerns some patients often have about an MRI scan is that they experience claustrophobia or feel uncomfortable in an enclosed space. However, ours is a totally open MRI, providing a more relaxed, less confining environment. It also lowers noise levels, for a quieter MRI experience.

For your convenience, an MRI scan can be ordered by any of our OrthoOne physicians. The time it takes to complete the scan may vary from 20 to 60 minutes, depending on which part of the body is being analyzed and how many images are required.
