Biography
A Tulsa, Oklahoma native, Dr. Jeffrey Dlabach has been a part of the Memphis healthcare community since 2000, specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. Dr. Dlabach is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and has a certificate of qualification sports medicine.
Dr. Dlabach received an undergraduate degree in physiology at Oklahoma State University in 1990 and is in 1994 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of medicine in Tulsa. Following an internship in general surgery at the University of Tennessee Memphis campus in 1995, he completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Campbell Clinic in 1999. Dr. Dlabach completed a post graduate fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Hughston Sports Medicine Clinic in Columbus, Georgia in 2000.
Dr. Dlabach’s experience includes service as a team physician for various college athletic programs; the University of Memphis football basketball and soccer teams; Memphis Redbirds minor-league baseball team; and Houston High School athletics and Collierville high school athletics, as well as coverage of several local youth athletic leagues.
Dr. Dlabach was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor Society and a graduate with distinction from medical school. He received the Upjohn and Coyne Campbell awards for his recognition has an outstanding junior and senior student in his medical school class.
Dr. Dlabach is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of several regional and local orthopaedic and medical societies. He has authored several articles and textbook chapters pertaining to orthopaedics and sports medicine.
Dr. Dlabach is married and has three children. He enjoys traveling with his wife and following his children’s endeavors.
Dr. Dlabach is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. His areas of expertise include:
- Shoulder- arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, labral repair, and shoulder stabilization
- Elbow-arthroscopy, tendon repair and ligament reconstruction
- Knee - arthroscopy, ligament and meniscal repair and reconstruction, tendon repair, articular cartilage defects
- Biologics - Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment and Stem Cell Treatment
In addition to his areas of expertise, he evaluates and treats a multitude of sports related and acute injuries involving:
